Determined to emerge and invest in her community, Malak has dedicated her time to numerous organizations, including The Children’s Hunger Project, Brevard Family Partnership, Junior Achievement, Women of Excellence and the Women’s Center. She has spoken about being a domestic violence survivor. Malak admits she has a soft spot for helping people feel their best. That especially relates to children’s self-esteem, with Malak serving as the president of "Be Kind Brevard", an anti-bullying initiative. Malak’s Medical and Dental Warriors will be collaborating with doctors and dentists to provide facial plastic surgery procedures to local teens in need. She is also looking forward to participating in an event for girls at Stone Middle School in the near future. There she will share her sense of style, etiquette and more. (There is a similar course offered to male students.) Catalyst for positive change and her willingness to accept these types of responsibilities has clearly defines Malak as a true community servant. Malak has been awarded a variety of honors. Her volunteer involvement includes Treasurer of Women in Defense, Treasurer of The Children’s Hunger Project, President of "Be Kind Brevard", Chair/Organizer of Women of Excellence, Vice Chair of Brevard Family Partnership and various other community positions, including Economic Development Commission, Brevard Zoo’s Women of the Wild, The Women’s Center South Guild, Devereux and more.
